Artist Statement

My art practice is multidisciplinary and concept driven. Themes repeated and explored throughout my work are the body, masks and the altered ego. My main interests and abilities lie within sculpture, performance and collage. Addressing themes of humanity, identity of the personal and public, I often use the human figure and humour as an accessible entry point for the viewer as it offers an immediate and familiar response.I enjoy making work that offers an alternate reality. The three sculptures are inspired by my interest in human anatomy, sport, endurance, and limitations of bodily experience.
