Artist Statement

NB THIS IS MY PREFERRED WORK ALTHOUGH IT IS A WORK IN PROGRESS.

There are 6 wall  pieces, each 60cm sq patterned differently but similar to the 2 shown.Each one is made from a seperate play by Shakespeare eg Richard 2nd, Romeo and Juliet etc.  All are mounted on cardboard and framed in perspex. These would hang in 2 rows on the wall over the remaining pages from the Complete works of Shakespeare woven into a scroll and displayed on a plinth similar to the examples shown in other works.

The work is made from recycled materials and is part of a large body of work using text, in particular books.
